Scott Gilmore, a Fort Walton Beach native, is a talented performing guitarist specializing in classical guitar with over 36 years of playing experience and 16 years in music instruction. He excels in various genres, including Latin, Jazz, and Pop. Throughout the Emerald Coast, Scott has captivated audiences at venues such as Watercolor Inn and Resort’s 'Fish Out of Water', 'Ceruleans Wine and Art Gallery' (where he accompanied New Orleans singer Rickie Comeaux), 'The Gathering Spot', 'Boathouse Restaurant', 'Destin Commons', 'Grand Boulevard', 'Harborwalk', and NWFS college.
Scott's passion for classical guitar shines through in his teaching. He has conducted guitar lessons for North West Florida State College’s 'Kids on Campus' and is an active member of the Emerald Coast Classical Guitar Association. From 2009 to 2014, he served as the Director of Music for Dance Elite.
Scott offers a range of music instruction, including basic guitar and ukulele lessons, and he is particularly skilled in classical fingerstyle picking techniques. He welcomes beginners, intermediate, and advanced students across various genres. In addition to teaching guitar and ukulele, Scott also guides children and adults in song writing, helping them create and perform their own songs for family, friends, and recitals.

He has showcased his skills throughout the Emerald Coast in venues such as Watercolor Inn and Resort’s “Fish Out of Water”, “Ceruleans Wine and Art Gallery” (accompanying New Orleans singer Rickie Comeaux), “The Gathering Spot”, “Boathouse Restaurant”, “Destin Commons”, “Grand Boulevard”, “Harborwalk”, and Northwest Florida State College (NWFS).
Scott is passionate about sharing his love for the Classical guitar. He conducts music instruction through guitar classes for North West Florida State College’s “Kids on Campus” and actively participates in the Emerald Coast Classical Guitar Association. From 2009 to 2014, Scott was the Director of Music for Dance Elite and has spent the past 4 years as part of the worship band at Christ the King Church in Santa Rosa Beach.
His teaching repertoire includes basic guitar, ukulele lessons, beginner piano, and advanced classical fingerstyle picking techniques. He welcomes beginners, intermediate, and advanced students interested in various genres of musical styles.
In addition to teaching, Scott collaborates with classical guitar duo partner and NWFS College professor Jimmy Chandler, offering their services for weddings, private parties, fine dining, and other events. He also guides both children and adults in songwriting, helping them create and perform their own songs for family and friends, and at recitals.
