Scott Gilmore (a Fort Walton Beach native) is a talented performing guitarist with over 36 years playing and 16 years teaching experience in Classical , Latin, Jazz and Pop. He has performed throughout the Emerald Coast at venues that include Watercolor Inn and Resort’s “Fish Out of Water”,“Ceruleans Wine and Art Gallery”(accompanying New Orleans singer Rickie Comeaux), “The Gathering Spot” , “Boathouse Restaurant” , the “ Destin Commons”, “ Grand Boulevard”, “Harborwalk “ and NWFS college.
Scott endeavors to share his love for the Classical Guitar. He has conducted guitar classes for the North West Florida State College’s “Kids on Campus”. He is also an active member of the Emerald Coast Classical Guitar Association. From 2009-2014 Scott served as the Director of Music for Dance Elite.
Scott will teach basic guitar, ukulele, and is most qualified with all levels of classical finger style picking technic. He will teach beginners, intermediate and advanced students in various genres of musical styles. He also teaches children and adults how to write and perform their own songs to be performed for family or friends and may also be performed at our recitals.
