Max McCann
Max McCann is an accomplished, gifted, seasoned professional musician and teacher. He not only performs regularly at many local venues but internationally at events and competitions. Max has a kind, friendly, and compassionate personality and seeks to bring out the best in every student and person he works with. We are very excited to welcome Max to our teaching staff.
Max says, "My main goal as a teacher is to get the music flowing while making it fun and simple, catering to the student's perception of what they want to accomplish using understanding, technique and feel. I believe we all have it in us, you just have to find a way of letting it out!"
Below are some of his many accomplishments during his long musical career and journey.
• Graduate of The Musician's Institute, Guitar Institute of Technology, GIT Hollywood California.
• Studied under the Joe Pass and Howard Roberts method of instruction.
• Five original full length recordings.
• Toured throughout the USA , Europe and Canada and performed with famous acts which include The Rippingtons, Mindi Abir, Peter White and Ziggy Marley.
• Has been teaching in the Santa Rosa Beach Area for the last 12 years starting at the Studio of Music 237, and now watching some students writing their own songs and performing in Nashville
• Max is fluent in multiple music styles of music and instruments, he loves to take the “Mystery” out of the learning an instrument, and encourages all ages and levels to try, using a technical approach and at the same time relating the theory of music in a “ Building Blocks” process that will appeal all ages. As far age, I believe it's never too late to learn.
