Dave has a passion for playing guitar and loves to teach others the wonders of music. He says: "Music is the universal language that has never been corrupted - a language that brings joy to the heart and peace to the mind."
Dave was eleven years when he begged his mother for a piano and lessons as a Christmas gift. But at that time, a piano was financially not possible for his family, so his mother bought him guitar instead. It turned out that the guitar was the best instrument for Dave. He had a God given love/gift for it, practiced a lot, and then moved onto private lessons which developed his gifting to greater levels. And…he has been playing guitar ever since for over 45 years!
So at a young age, Dave’s passion for music enabled him to be open to other instruments beyond piano. And guitar fit him just right. Like he says, “When you love music, you do what you have to do.”
Dave says,
He believes that guitar is an awesome vehicle for any style of music but especially for worship. Playing guitar develops an overall happiness in people’s lives whether they play in a band, for personal enjoyment, or as a solo artist.
Dave has taught many people the skill of playing guitar and singing at the same time. Students have so much fun learning this skill which will last a life time.
So whether it is your desire to play music around the campfire while other’s to join in with your singing, or play for personal private enjoyment, or develop your ability to play locally at venues or events, he is ready to help you begin your journey with a compassionate and kind approach.
